| At the heart of every Epicurean is the intense desire to expand his knowledge of the culinary world and impart his knowledge unto others.  Our group is founded upon the belief that cooking is fun, fascinating, and exhilarating, and valuable.  We want to experience what that the culinary world has to offer by learning to wield the tools, utilize the ingredients, and present the final product.  We do all of this and more- all while having a lot of fun!
 Epicureans believe:
That few experiences are as rewarding as the camaraderie gained by cooking socially and enjoying a unique meal as a group. That sharing knowledge and skill is as important as learning, and in embracing students as much as teachers. That broadening one’s culinary horizons and trying new things is essential. That Duncan Hines, Uncle Ben, Chef Boyardee, the Pillsbury Doughboy, and Betty Crocker are evil.  We defy church picnic classics and other heinous instruments of evil such as croissants-in-a-can, Velveeta, and Jell-O.That Julia was right- There’s not a damned thing wrong with drinking while cooking.
Are you an Epicurean?   If you are a passionate amateur, a professional chef, or anything in between and are interested in joining our group, please send me an e-mail.  We welcome new members who share our passion for food, education, and fellowship.* --Josh
